I just got an invitation from the Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez and The Global CEO of Nestlé Paul Bulcke to A ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON PAID LEAVE. Moderated by Dr. Heather Boushey, Executive Director and Chief Economist at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth.
DOL and Nestlé will co-convene this discussion with other business leaders to examine the growing momentum behind paid family and medical leave across the United States. Employers will discuss their and their employees’ experiences with paid leave policies, why they chose to adopt the policies, and, when applicable, how their policies have worked in states with existing public paid leave insurance programs (CA, NJ, and RI). The event will take place at the Department of Labor, but will also be livestreamed with the goal of engaging companies via social media who are moving the needle on paid leave across the country. The online audience will be encouraged to submit questions using #LeadOnLeave.
Looking forward to go to Washington D.C for the first time in 28 years. And proud that Spotify’s global parental leave policy launched in the presence of senior advisor Valerie Jarret in November 2015 is making a difference in this important field. #LeadOnLeave #WorkFamilyBalance #LifeAtSpotify
